The Challenge will run from July 2015 to January 2017, with recognition of successes in April of 2017. Buildings will have until January of 2017 to benchmark the most recent two years of energy data (if possible) in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Then report back to us via the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager “Share” feature.
Recognition of Successes: At the end of the challenge we will recognize all buildings that achieve certification and all buildings that demonstrate reduction in energy use during the challenge.
Participants will strive to collectively reduce building energy use 20% by 2025 and achieve ENERGY STAR certification by 2017.
